Dr Hill is a specialist dermatologist with subspecialty interest in paediatric dermatology and laser. She graduated from Otago University, Dunedin School of Medicine in 1999, following which she trained in general hospital medicine in Dunedin, Southland and Auckland before specialising in dermatology. Her dermatology training was undertaken in Auckland, Hamilton, and London at which she was awarded a training position with the St John’s Institute of Dermatology, an internationally recognised centre of excellence for the treatment, research and teaching of diseases of the skin. Upon completion of her general dermatology training she was awarded an 18 month comprehensive paediatric dermatology fellowship with the Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, U.S.A. which is associated with the University of Calfornia, San Diego.

Dr Hill is currently based in Hamilton where she does both adult and childrens skin clinics at the public hospital. She also provides a general dermatology service to Rotorua public hospital.
